The Evolution of a Girl
Thanks so much for stopping by! My friends tell me I'm the 'compassionately curious' type as I'm always learning, always wondering and wandering.
Like many of us, life dealt me a few curveballs, and somewhere around 2014 following a devastating burnout I decided I wanted a different life for myself. It took me until 2021 to say goodbye to my legal career for good and embrace a new way of living. In the intervening years, there were many hours spent on my trusty yoga mat in meditation and yoga practice, learning to get to know myself again (or maybe for the first time?). In between, there was an epic cycle trip from one end of Vietnam to the other, an MBA, yoga, and meditation teacher training, and a new professional career that lights up my soul.
From that one decision to change the way I showed up in the world, to dedicate myself to a life of service to others, I came to know a place inside myself that is the authentic 'self' and when things get out of sync, I return to that place, away from the madness of the external world so I can hear my true self speak. Then I move forward again.
So you see, I have walked and continue to walk the path of change, and evolution. I am breaking free of societal limitations to open my heart to a greater level of appreciation for myself, my fellow human beings, and this beautiful planet we call home.
So it's no wonder that I am so passionate about yoga and meditation, how it raises my awareness every day, elevates my life and others around me. As unoriginal as it sounds, my life has changed, because of the connection to my practice. I am a better human being and a more empowered leader because of it.
I have seen myself become emotionally and physically healthier, stronger, and more balanced, and I know how yoga and meditation can also bring a sense of clarity that is a great motivator for people to make better choices in their lives both personally and professionally. And now, more than ever the world needs compassionate people, and authentic leaders who are more serving, more concerned, more human. Coming from that place we can help others to do the same.
Yoga is not a form of exercise or religion, it is a way of life that recognises the art and science of well-being where mind, body, and spirit work in harmony to help leapfrog the challenges of life.
So, if you are ready for change, come to the Edge and learn to fly!
